Opening in 2018

Artscape is proud to present Artscape Daniels Launchpad, a 30,000 square foot, one-stop art and design entrepreneurship hub opening in 2018 that will provide affordable access to technology and tools of the trade, reframe entrepreneurship for creative people through innovative programming, and offer a gateway to services, funding, business opportunities and more. A new model of creative space, Artscape Daniels Launchpad supports creative production, collaboration, experimentation, invention and idea exchange, and will be the ideal environment for creatives to fully explore and realize their potential.

Artscape Daniels Launchpad will develop a new culture of entrepreneurship aligned with the values and aspirations of creative people.

Today, nearly 700,000 Canadians are employed in the creative and cultural sector, with Ontario being home to more than twice the number of cultural and creative workers than any other province. Artscape Daniels Launchpad will empower these creators through access to facilities, training and resources that help them build resilient, sustainable and rewarding careers, organizations and businesses.

Our Funders

Artscape Daniels Launchpad is named in recognition of the outstanding financial support of The Daniels Corporation and the John and Myrna Daniels Foundation, whose leadership gift of $5.75 million includes $625,000 in support from The Daniels Corporation’s partner WJ Properties. The project has also been made possible in part by the Government of Canada through Canadian Heritage, the Ontario Ministry of Research, Innovation and Science, TD Bank, and a network of generous philanthropic donors and investors. The programming of Artscape Daniels Launchpad is supported by FedDev Ontario, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Ontario Media Development Corporation, the City of Toronto through Start Up Here Toronto, the Metcalf Foundation and the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation.
